Dominican Republic and Spain enhance vocational training through defense partnerships

The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Labor have signed a cooperation agreement to integrate Vocational Schools into national technical training and employment programs. This initiative aims to strengthen professional training and facilitate job placement for youth, women, persons with disabilities, and adults. The agreement utilizes a network of 31 vocational schools and four extensions across the country, which has trained over 500,000 technicians since 1966.

In Spain, the Junta of Castilla y León, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Defense have established a tripartite agreement to provide vocational training degrees within military educational centers. This includes the Basic Air Academy in León, the Cavalry Academy in Valladolid, and the Artillery Academy in Segovia. The program will provide various technical certifications, such as telecommunications, aeronautical maintenance, and administration, utilizing civilian teaching staff to complement military training.
