Dominican Republic Chambers coordinate unified Mercantile Registry criteria

Commercial and Production Chambers in the Dominican Republic are coordinating training for analysts to implement Resolution 237-2026, which establishes Unified Criteria for Mercantile Registry Analysis. The resolution, published by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs (MICM) last September, aims to standardize the evaluation of registration procedures across the country.

Fantino Polanco, Executive Vice President of the Santo Domingo Chamber, stated that the unified criteria ensure that identical legal situations receive the same response regardless of location, providing users with greater clarity and predictability. This initiative is intended to strengthen legal certainty within the nation.

Training will be conducted through the Mercantile Registry School, a Santo Domingo Chamber initiative designed to update the technical, legal, and operational competencies of analysts via a digital platform. Additionally, updates were presented regarding SRM 2.0, the technological platform used for national mercantile registry management.
