Dominican Republic Court of Accounts reports clean audit of lower house, launches digital training for municipalities
The Dominican Republic Court of Accounts (CCRD) released the audit of the Chamber of Deputies for the 2020‑2024 period, stating that no legal, financial or substantive irregularities were found. The unqualified opinion noted only routine internal‑control observations and recommended better classification of internal accounting entries, but affirmed that fund execution and asset management were proper.
In a separate initiative, the CCRD organized a national training session on the Public Entities External Control Information System (SICEEP) for municipal officials in the southern region. The workshop, attended by mayors and district leaders, highlighted the use of digital tools to improve transparency, accountability and efficiency in local government reporting.
