Dominican Republic cuts fuel prices while Mexico gas rates remain unchanged

The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs announced a reduction of RD$5 per gallon for regular gasoline and diesel and RD$3 for premium gasoline and optimal diesel for the week of 4‑10 July 2026, funded by a RD$424.53 million subsidy. Prices for other fuel grades such as avtur and kerosene were raised, while LPG and natural gas prices stayed flat.

In Mexico, the National Energy Commission (CNE) confirmed that the maximum authorized tariffs for LPG in Veracruz and Boca del Río for 5‑11 July 2026 remain at 19.30 pesos per kilogram and 10.42 pesos per litre, unchanged from the previous week. The price caps aim to protect households that rely on LPG for cooking and heating.

Both governments are using regulatory mechanisms to stabilize household energy costs amid volatile international fuel markets.
