Dominican Republic defeats Germany 14-4 in baseball victory

The Dominican Republic national baseball team secured a decisive 14-4 victory over Germany, ending the game in five innings due to the mercy rule. The Dominican offense established dominance early, scoring six runs in the first inning against German pitcher Pellatz.

While Germany attempted a comeback in the third inning to narrow the gap to 6-3, the Dominican Republic's relief pitching stifled the threat with three consecutive strikeouts in the fourth. The Dominican side then extended their lead through key hits from Ángel Peralta and Ángel Montás.

The scoring concluded in the fifth inning when Norky Sánchez hit a three-run line drive to center-right field, followed by a ground rule double from Montás that drove in two more runs. Presinal Ávalo was credited with the win on the mound.
