Serie del Caribe Kids: Dominican Republic leads as Panama records historic no-hitter

The III Serie del Caribe Kids tournament in Nayarit, Mexico, is seeing historic individual performances and shifting standings. Their dominance was highlighted by a 14-2 mercy-rule victory over Mexico Verde, fueled by a standout performance from Nolbis Marcos, who hit two home runs.

Panama secured its first victory of the tournament with a 14-0 win against Puerto Rico. Pitcher Alams Rodríguez made history by becoming the first pitcher to complete a solo no-hitter in the history of the Serie del Caribe Kids, pitching four scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

Mexico Rojo also maintains a strong position with a 1-0 record following a 9-2 win over Puerto Rico. In that matchup, Ramón Figueroa set a tournament record by driving in six runs and hitting two home runs. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on August 16, with the top four teams advancing to the semifinals.
