The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and the Ministry of Public carried out a series of operations in the Distrito Nacional, arresting 21 people and confiscating more than 10 kg of narcotics. Seized items included 4,673 g of cocaine, 5,403 g of marijuana, crack, hashish, ecstasy pills, a 9 mm pistol, cash and equipment used for drug processing.

In a separate raid at Las Américas International Airport, DNCD agents and the Specialized Airport Security Corps arrested two airport employees, Wilson Darío Castillo and Luis Miguel Peña, for facilitating the entry of five bundles containing 90 packages of cocaine. Five other individuals are already detained in connection with the same case, and investigations continue to identify additional participants.
