Dominican Republic expands youth empowerment program
The Dominican Republic has consolidated the ‘Oportunidad 14-24’ program, a public initiative coordinated by the Presidency’s Social Policy Cabinet. The program is designed to support vulnerable youth between the ages of 14 and 24 by providing technical training, labor market insertion, and entrepreneurship support.
President Luis Abinader emphasized that the initiative aims to provide young people with new paths for professional development and economic autonomy, moving beyond passive subsidies to active social transformation.
