Dominican Republic hikes gasoline and diesel prices as Colombia keeps gasoline unchanged

The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs announced a price rise of RD$3‑6 per gallon for gasoline and diesel, part of a three‑month price‑freeze plan that will fund the increases with a RD$555.7 million fund. Premium gasoline will rise to RD$341.10 per gallon and diesel to RD$293.10 per gallon, while LPG and natural gas prices remain unchanged.

In contrast, Colombia's Ministry of Mines and Energy confirmed that gasoline prices in the Nariño region will stay steady throughout June, avoiding a planned increase. Minister Edwin Palma said the decision aims to protect consumers and transport operators from higher costs and to support inflation stability, with continued monitoring of international oil markets and the national fuel price stabilization fund.
