Dominican Republic hosts regional JCI leadership and museum forums

The Dominican Republic is hosting two significant regional gatherings focused on leadership and culture. From September 2 to 6, more than 260 JCI Senators from 20 countries across the Americas and the Caribbean are meeting at the Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana for the XVI JCI Senators Meeting of the Americas and the Caribbean.

The JCI event includes networking, cultural exchange through a ‘Global Village,’ and the assembly of the JCI Senators Association of the Americas and the Caribbean (ASAC) to elect new regional authorities.

Additionally, the Dominican Republic has been selected to host the 12th Ibero-American Museum Meeting in Santo Domingo from September 14 to 16, 2026. Under the theme ‘Shared Heritages, Common Futures,’ the forum will bring together museum professionals to discuss public policy, the impact of artificial intelligence on museum narratives, and the protection of biocultural territories against climate risks.
