Dominican Republic Judicial Council opens public consultation on procurement rules
The Judicial Council (CPJ) of the Dominican Republic has launched a public consultation regarding a proposed new Regulation for Public Procurement. This regulation aims to establish the principles, procedures, and rules governing the acquisition of goods, works, and services for the Judicial Power and its various dependencies.
The proposal seeks to update existing procurement rules to align with the new legal framework established by Law No. 47-25, which replaced the previous Law No. 340-06. The update is intended to harmonize institutional norms with new legislation while strengthening transparency, efficiency, and legal security in procurement processes.
The scope of the regulation includes the Judicial Power, the National School of the Judiciary, the Real Estate Registry, and their supporting bodies. The document outlines governing principles, organization, powers, regimes, resources, and applicable sanctions.
In accordance with laws regarding access to public information and administrative procedures, citizens, lawyers, and interested professionals are invited to submit observations and comments via email to vistas.contrataciones@poderjudicial.gob.do. The consultation period runs from September 15 until October 20, 2026.
