Dominican Republic launches alumni platform and hosts Financial Summit to address national economic challenges

A group of BARNA Management School alumni unveiled a new platform aimed at creating permanent spaces for analysis, dialogue, and proposal‑making on the Dominican Republic’s key public‑policy, economic and sustainability issues. The initiative was presented during a high‑level panel on global economic challenges and public‑finance sustainability, which featured the vice‑minister of Monitoring and Government Coordination, the pension superintendents, and economists discussing the impact of the international environment on the country’s finances.

Separately, the Instituto de Finanzas de Santo Domingo and Aula Hispanac will hold the second edition of the Financial Summit 2026 on 15 October at the Hotel Real Intercontinental. The event will gather roughly 300 financial leaders, economists and executives to examine macro‑economic, geopolitical, corporate finance, capital‑market and technological trends affecting the Dominican economy and beyond.
