Dominican Republic launches Cabarete Surf and Wind City tourism campaigns

The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism announced two new international campaigns, Cabarete Surf and Wind City, aimed at positioning the north‑coast town of Cabarete as a leading global destination for surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and other wave‑ and wind‑powered sports. Minister of Tourism David Collado said the initiatives highlight the region’s authentic adventure lifestyle and will be promoted in key markets across the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean through digital media, specialized outlets and targeted communications.

The campaigns showcase Cabarete’s renowned spots such as Playa Encuentro, Kite Beach and the surrounding bay, emphasising year‑round favourable conditions, a multicultural community and specialised tourism infrastructure. The effort seeks to diversify the country’s tourism offer and attract active‑travel enthusiasts seeking unique ocean‑based experiences.
