Dominican Republic military recruitment sees 10,000 applicants

Between 2024 and 2026, more than 10,000 individuals attempted to join the Dominican Republic’s military forces. Data provided by the Army and Air Force shows that 10,062 people were evaluated during this period.

Of those applicants, 4,138 were admitted: 2,738 to the Army and 1,400 to the Air Force. In 2024, the Army saw its highest number of applicants with 3,032 evaluations, resulting in an admission rate of 50.8%. In 2025, the number of applicants decreased to 1,492, with an admission rate of 56.1%.
