Dominican Republic Ministry of Education launches decentralization project

The Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Education (Minerd) has launched the “Voces de la Descentralización: escuchar para transformar” project. This initiative is part of the 2025-2028 Roadmap and aims to increase educational participation by fostering dialogue between authorities, school communities, and civil society.

The project seeks to bring decision-making closer to local territories, allowing for the incorporation of community-specific needs into management processes. It also aims to strengthen transparency and citizen oversight regarding the administration of educational resources. The initiative includes three main components: Dialogue Tables, an Educational Citizen Oversight System, and a Continuous Improvement Laboratory.
