Dominican Republic models achieve success in international beauty pageants

Dominican Republic representatives have achieved notable success in international beauty competitions. Suny Gálvez was crowned Miss Universal Grand 2026 during a final held in Santo Domingo, which featured contestants from various nations competing in categories such as swimwear, traditional costume, and evening gown.

In the male category, Leandro Mendoza, representing the Dominican Republic, placed as the sixth runner-up at the Manhunt International Male Supermodel 2026 competition. Mendoza, a bilingual presenter and model from Isla Saona, previously held titles including Caballero Universal 2023.
