Dominican Republic National Police faces corruption concerns
A former member of the Dominican Republic's National Police has expressed deep concern regarding the current state of the institution. Marking 34 years since joining the force, the individual highlighted a perceived decline in the organization's honor and discipline.
The veteran officer noted that recent audits have raised alarms concerning corruption and institutional decomposition. Through a series of verses, the individual called for a return to the fundamental essence of the police force: "servir, proteger y honrar al pueblo dominicano" (to serve, protect, and honor the Dominican people).
