Dominican Republic opens applications for Berklee 2027 music program

The Dominican Ministry of Culture and the National Conservatory of Music have launched the call for applications for the Berklee in Santo Domingo 2027 program. This initiative allows young musicians to enhance their technical skills and interpretative abilities under the guidance of professors and artists associated with the Berklee College of Music.

The program is scheduled to take place from January 5 to January 10, 2027. It is designed for high school and university students who are citizens of the Dominican Republic and are at least 15 years old. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of six months of experience in playing a musical instrument or singing.

Selected participants will attend the program free of charge. The deadline to submit applications is November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., and selection results will be announced on November 17, 2026. As part of the application, candidates must provide at least two video links, each between two and three minutes long, showcasing their musical abilities.
