The Dominican Republic National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), in coordination with the National Police and the Public Ministry, conducted extensive operations throughout October, resulting in the arrest of 4,281 individuals suspected of drug trafficking and sale. During 39,295 operations and 335 raids, authorities seized approximately 930,902 grams of narcotics, including cocaine, marijuana, crack, tusi, hashish, and ecstasy pills.

In addition to narcotics, security forces confiscated 40 firearms, 71 knives and machetes, 647 scales, 1,196 cell phones, 163 motorcycles, and 9 vehicles. Significant amounts of cash in Dominican pesos, US dollars, and euros were also recovered.

Separate law enforcement actions reported include the arrest of three individuals in Vicente Noble, Barahona, for possession of firearms, contraband cigarettes, and adulterated alcohol. In Santiago, a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old minor were placed in preventive detention for their alleged involvement in the shooting death of a police sergeant.
