Dominican Republic Police launch inspector training on disciplinary systems

The Dominican Republic's National Police has launched a three-day seminar-workshop titled ‘Police Disciplinary System’ to enhance the competencies of police inspectors. Organized by the Higher Police Education Institute (IPES) in collaboration with the Inspector General's Office, the Reform Commission, and the Central Directorate of Police Transformation, the program focuses on supervision, internal control, and the application of regulatory norms.

The training covers topics such as the disciplinary regime, investigative neutrality, and institutional integrity policies. General Martín Miguel Tapia Sánchez, the Inspector General, emphasized that integrity is a fundamental pillar for supervising conduct and preventing actions that violate ethical principles of public service. Additionally, the program addresses the modernization of the disciplinary system and the classification of service offenses.
