Dominican Republic police launch manhunts for multiple crime suspects

The Dominican Republic's National Police and the Central Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM) are conducting active searches for several individuals wanted for various crimes across different provinces.

In Valverde, authorities are seeking 30-year-old Rafael Antonio Bernal Rodríguez, known as ‘El Rompedor de Cienfuegos’. He is wanted under arrest warrant 534/2024 for alleged violations of the Penal Code involving the CoopSano-Esperanza cooperative in Esperanza. Police have warned the public not to confront him, as he may be armed.

In Bahoruco, DICRIM is searching for two men. Reino González Cuello, 62, is wanted for the alleged firearm-related death of a Haitian citizen in Tamayo. Luis Miguel de la Cruz, 35, is sought for his alleged involvement in a robbery involving jewelry and cash valued at approximately RD$4.7 million. De la Cruz is noted as a repeat offender, previously linked to a major robbery in Barahona.
