Dominican Republic political parties seek election postponement and party recognition

In the Dominican Republic, the Permanent Forum of Political Parties (FOPPPREDOM) has formally submitted a request to the Central Electoral Board (JCE) and the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to postpone upcoming elections.

Separately, the political movement Dominicanos Primero has reached a milestone in its bid for official recognition. The JCE formally accepted the deposit of the organization's identifying symbols, including its logo, flag, and motto: “Primero tú, primero nosotros, primero RD”. The movement described the decision as a historic step toward becoming a recognized political party.
