Dominican Republic prosecutors set date for Operation Guepardo indictment

The Public Ministry is scheduled to present the indictment for ‘Operación Guepardo’ on November 20, 2026. The judicial process targets a suspected criminal organization accused of real estate fraud, electronic scams, and money laundering.

The investigation, which began in 2025, reportedly affected more than 426 national and foreign victims. The reading of the indictment will take place before the First Court of Instruction of the Judicial District of La Romana.

Judge Denia Beras de Mota has set November 16, 2026, as the deadline for affected individuals to file new complaints if they wish to participate formally as plaintiffs or civil actors in the proceedings. The court postponed the hearing to ensure all new complaints are properly notified and organized before the preliminary hearing continues.
