Mexico Verde wins 2026 Serie del Caribe Kids title

México Verde, represented by the Jaguares de Nayarit, won the III Serie del Caribe Kids 2026 title by defeating the Dominican Republic 11-8 in a dramatic final held at the Estadio Coloso del Pacífico Don Alejo Peralta.

Trailing 8-6 in the sixth and final inning, Mexico staged a comeback fueled by consecutive home runs from Jesús Alejandro Solís and Jesús Oviel Berrelleza Bernal. This rally allowed the Mexican team to score five runs in the inning to secure the victory. Pitcher Ian Roberto Espinosa earned the win and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after pitching two scoreless innings with six strikeouts to close the game.

The win marks the first historical championship for Mexico in this competition and ended the Dominican Republic's 18-game winning streak in the tournament. To reach the final, Mexico Verde previously defeated Panama 4-3 in the semifinals.
