Dominican Republic spends over RD$606,000 per cadet

The Dominican Republic government invests more than RD$606,000 in the training of a single cadet. This figure includes an average cost of RD$244,150 for training and equipment, plus RD$362,090 for 12 months of salary based on a gross monthly remuneration of RD$30,174.19.

This investment covers a wide range of needs, including uniforms for various activities, combat boots, trousers, shirts, and other essential military gear. Currently, 634 cadets, aspirants, and midshipmen are enrolled in the academies of the Army, Air Force, and Navy, preparing to become future officers of the Armed Forces.
