Dominican Republic stages new comedies “Ni Locas, Ni Cuerdos” and “PARADISO”

The comedy “Ni Locas, Ni Cuerdos” will open at the Sala Ravelo of the Teatro Nacional in Santo Domingo on 6 August, running eight performances through 16 August. Actors Josema Rodríguez and Alexander Corleone will portray ten characters, with Rodríguez also directing the piece written by Ariel Feliciano.

A second production, the dramedy “PARADISO”, is scheduled to debut on 3 September 2026 at the Sala Manuel Rueda of the Escuelas de Bellas Artes. Directed by Jean Villanueva and Rosa Aurora, the play follows residents of an elderly home as they confront themes of friendship, memory and mortality. The ensemble cast includes Laura Leclerc, Gracielina Olivero and others, and the show will raise funds for the Fundación Jompéame.
