Dominican Republic teachers to receive retroactive pay on Sept 17-18

Approximately 104,000 public school teachers in the Dominican Republic are scheduled to receive retroactive payments for teacher performance evaluations on September 17 and 18.

Eduardo Hidalgo, president of the Asociación Dominicana de Profesores (ADP), stated that the necessary files are currently with the Contraloría General de la República. The next steps in the process involve the Human Resources department of the Ministry of Education, followed by the treasury for final authorization and disbursement. The total amount for these claims is reported to exceed RD$9,000 million.
