CONCACAF Nations League begins with key matchups for regional teams

The CONCACAF Nations League 2026/27 season is commencing, featuring several key matchups across different leagues.

In League A, the Dominican Republic makes its debut against Nicaragua at the Estadio Cibao FC. The Dominican squad, led by coach Marcelo Neveleff, features high-profile players such as Mariano Díaz, Júnior Firpo, and Pablo Rosario. This tournament serves as a critical step in their long-term goal of qualifying for the 2030 World Cup.

In Group B, Guatemala faces Jamaica at the National Stadium in Kingston under the direction of Luis Fernando Tena. Jamaica will compete without Leon Bailey due to injury, while Guatemala seeks to improve upon its recent qualifying performances. El Salvador also enters Group B, facing Martinica in their opening match with the aim of maintaining their position in League A.
