Dominican Republic to host PGA Tour Americas season finale

The Dominican Republic will host the PGA Tour Americas season finale for the first time in 2026. The event, known as the Dominican Republic Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank, will take place at PGA Ocean’s 4 in Playa Nueva Romana.

Key factors in selecting the destination included the country's tourism infrastructure, air connectivity, and hotel availability. Strategic partnerships, specifically with Grupo Piñero, played a significant role in securing the tournament. The competition aims to boost sports tourism and the international projection of the region.

The tournament features a prize pool of US$225,000 and offers ten memberships to the 2027 Korn Ferry Tour. Additionally, the top ten players on the points list will earn exemptions for the final stage of the PGA Tour Q-School.
