The World Domino Federation (Femundo) has announced that the Dominican Republic will host the VII World Domino Championship from October 28 to 31, 2026. The event will take place at the Hotel Catalonia in Santo Domingo.

The tournament features a US$60,000 prize pool and includes individual, team, and pair competitions. Athletes from more than 13 countries are expected to participate, including delegations from Cuba, the United States, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Panama, Barbados, Jamaica, Spain, Chile, Mexico, and Argentina.

The championship is dedicated to Carolina Mejía, the Mayor of the National District, in recognition of her efforts regarding public spaces and community recreation. This marks the third time the Dominican Republic has hosted the event, following previous editions in 2016 and 2022.
