Dominican Republic to present water and sanitation progress to OAS

Wellington Arnaud, the executive director of the National Institute of Potable Water and Sewerage (Inapa), will present the Dominican Republic’s progress in water and sanitation before the Organization of American States (OAS).

The presentation will take place during an extraordinary meeting of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI) in Washington, D.C. Arnaud is scheduled to discuss the Dominican Republic’s Coastal Water and Sanitation Program, sharing national experiences and lessons learned to support hemispheric cooperation.

The initiative aims to highlight government efforts to expand access to potable water, improve sanitation systems, and protect coastal communities under the theme “Clean water, strong communities, a more resilient hemisphere.”
