Dominican Republic Treasury collects over RD$1.1 billion through Sirite platform in first half of 2026

The National Treasury (Tesorería Nacional) reported that the Sirite electronic payment system captured RD$1,101,219,371 from 516,450 transactions between January and mid‑June 2026. Monthly collections were RD$275.9 million in January, RD$173.5 million in February, RD$204.8 million in March, RD$190.5 million in April, RD$181.7 million in May and RD$74.7 million up to 14 June.

The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources led the list of institutions receiving the highest revenues (RD$166.9 million), followed by the Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas (RD$154.9 million) and the National Institute of Land Transport (RD$137.2 million). Other significant contributors included the General Directorate of Passports, the Ministry of the Interior and Police, and the General Directorate of Migration. Treasury officials highlighted that the Sirite platform improves fiscal transparency, consolidates cash flow in a single Treasury account, and speeds up citizen services.

The Treasury emphasized that the digital hub reduces bureaucracy and provides real‑time fiscal statistics for better economic decision‑making.
