Dominican Republic's INFOTEP certifies 300 electrical technicians in Barahona

The Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (INFOTEP) awarded competency certifications to 300 electricians after completing assessments in basic low‑ and medium‑voltage network installation. The ceremony was held in Barahona at the Auditorio Antonio Méndez of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo campus.

INFOTEP officials, including director general Maira Morla Pineda and director of Professional Training Luis Beltré, highlighted the certification’s role in enhancing employability, productivity, quality and safety in the electrical sector. Superintendent of Electricity Andrés Astacio and representatives of companies such as Almonte Ingeniería y Tecnología, Atal Caribe, Delmar, INGMELEC Dominicana and Sanel attended the event.
