PLD accuses PRM government of administrative disorder

The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) says the Ministry of Public Administration’s data shows the PRM‑led government cannot accurately count its public‑sector employees. It alleges that many officials do not know how many staff they supervise, that some workers are listed in one province but serve in another, that payroll lists include people abroad or no longer on duty, and that vacant posts appear filled on paper.

The PLD attributes the problem to a break in institutional continuity, clientelism and the current administration’s incapacity, noting that under the previous PLD government the Public Servants Administration System (SASP) covered about 97 % of central‑government staff and that the Public Administration Monitoring System (SISMAP) was a regional benchmark. It also recalls the “República Digital” program that digitised more than a thousand public services.
