Dominican Republic's ONE launches national household survey
The National Statistics Office (ONE) of the Dominican Republic has launched the 2026 National Household Survey for Multiple Purposes (ENHOGAR-2026). Running from October 13 to November 30, the operation will visit a sample of 25,000 homes across the country to collect data with regional and provincial representativeness.
The survey is organized into six modules: housing and households, individual characteristics, education, economy, information and communication technologies (ICT), and victimization. This edition specifically introduces modules to examine digital access and usage, as well as citizen experiences regarding crime and security.
Data collected will be used to analyze social and economic conditions, assist in the planning of public services, and support the formulation of policies regarding employment, education, and citizen security. ONE has requested that selected households cooperate with identified interviewers, noting that all gathered information remains strictly confidential.
