Dominican Republic's PRM confirms Amado Díaz as block spokesperson and retains Fellito Suberví in Distrito Nacional

The Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) in the Dominican Republic re‑elected deputy Amado Díaz as the spokesperson for its official block in the Chamber of Deputies. The unanimous vote was supported by more than 140 legislators during a meeting chaired by lower‑house President Alfredo Pacheco. José Caraballo was chosen as vice‑spokesperson and Kenia Bidó as secretary of the PRM bloc.

In a separate internal election, the PRM ratified Fellito Suberví as president of its organization in the Distrito Nacional for the 2026‑2028 term, with 73 % participation from party members in the capital. José Miguel Cabrera was confirmed as secretary‑general. The process was overseen by a commission led by Iñigo Larrazábal of the National Internal Elections Commission, alongside party officials, to ensure compliance with internal rules. Both events underline the party’s effort to consolidate its legislative agenda and strengthen institutional unity ahead of upcoming political challenges.
