Dominican training institutions launch new professional development initiatives
Dominican institutions are expanding professional training through new strategic alliances. The Instituto Técnico Superior Comunitario (ITSC) and the Oficina Nacional de Derecho de Autor (ONDA) have signed an agreement to promote cooperation in intellectual property and copyright education. This partnership will include training programs, workshops, and seminars designed to educate students and faculty on the protection of intellectual works.
Separately, the Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (INFOTEP), in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Consejo Dominicano de Pesca y Acuicultura (CODOPESCA), has certified 13 trainers in the ‘Think Coop’ methodology. This international certification, conducted during a binational event with Costa Rica, focuses on promoting cooperative and associative models to drive economic development and social solidarity.
