Dominican woman sentenced to 25 years for murder in Orlando
Gisselle Victoria González has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the death of her friend, Runy Leidy Medina Pacheco. Medina Pacheco, a Dominican national, had been missing in Orlando, Florida, since December 2022.
Investigators determined that the incident occurred following a physical altercation triggered by a dispute over approximately $2,500 that González had allegedly stolen from the victim. While González admitted to the theft and the fight, which she described as a ‘moment of anger,’ the victim's body has not yet been located. Authorities noted that González had previously provided inconsistent accounts of the disappearance and attempted to conceal evidence of the violence.
