Dominik Holec transfers to Indonesian club Garudayaksa
Slovak goalkeeper Dominik Holec has transferred to the Indonesian club Garudayaksa, marking a significant departure from the European football circuit where he has spent the last 15 years.
In a recent podcast, Holec addressed rumors regarding his move, clarifying that his decision was not triggered by the arrival of Martin Jedlička at Baník Ostrava. Instead, he cited a sense of burnout and a desire for a new impulse after spending his entire professional career within the same social and professional circles.
Holec noted that a trip to the United States helped solidify his desire for a lifestyle and career change. The transfer to Garudayaksa was facilitated through a family connection and a mutual acquaintance. Following a successful season with Baník Ostrava that saw the team return to European competitions, Holec spent the latter part of the previous season on loan at the Polish club Piast Gliwice.
