Dominik Livaković joins FC Barcelona on four-year deal
Croatia national team goalkeeper Dominik Livaković has signed a four-year contract with FC Barcelona, running through the end of the 2029/30 season. The transfer from Fenerbahçe involves a fixed fee of two million euros, with the potential for an additional two million euros in performance-related bonuses.
Livaković, 31, arrives in Catalonia to provide depth in the goalkeeper position. While initial reports suggested he might spend time on loan before joining the first-team squad permanently in 2027, recent indications suggest the club may integrate him into the squad immediately. He is expected to serve as a backup to Joan García and Wojciech Szczęsny.
His career includes significant stints at Dinamo Zagreb, where he won seven Croatian league titles, and a period with Fenerbahçe. He gained international recognition for his performances during Croatia’s run to the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.
