Lucha Libre AAA and WWE are coordinating several major events and storylines involving crossover talent. AAA's Verano de Escándalo concludes on August 8, 2026, featuring a Reina de Reinas Championship match between Flammer, Lady Shani, and La Catalina, alongside an exclusive interview with AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio.

Dominik Mysterio, who is currently the top champion in AAA, is reportedly frustrated with his creative direction in WWE, desiring a more serious presentation that aligns with his status in Mexico. He is scheduled to defend his AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano at Triplemania 34 in Las Vegas on September 13.

Looking further ahead, Rey Mysterio has announced a tournament featuring top Mexican and masked wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, and AAA. The winner will earn a shot at Roman Reigns' World Heavyweight Championship during a WWE Monday Night Raw live event in Mexico City on September 14, 2026.
