Dominik Stříteský Withdraws from Barum Czech Rally Over Polish Injury

Czech rally champion Dominik Stříteský, the 2024 Barum Czech Rally Zlín winner and current leader of the national championship, will miss the upcoming Barum Czech Rally Zlín 2026. The decision follows a serious crash in Poland that left him hospitalized and under a mandatory rest regime prescribed by his doctors. Although his name remained on the official start list until early this week, Stříteský confirmed on social media that he must obey medical advice and cannot compete.

Stříteský hopes to return later in the season, possibly joining navigator Ondřej Krajča for a rally in Pačejov. The driver has already endured multiple setbacks this year, including a triple puncture at the previous Barum rally and a concussion during a speed test in Kateřinice. His withdrawal removes a top contender from the 2026 event, which will now be contested without the defending champion.
