Dominik Szoboszlai criticizes journalists over inaccurate reporting

Dominik Szoboszlai, captain of the Hungarian national football team, has criticized journalists for publishing inaccurate information. The midfielder stated that he would refuse to speak with any reporter who puts him in a difficult position or reports untruths about him.

Szoboszlai’s comments follow a controversial report regarding a joke he made during an interview with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. He urged the media to support athletes and maintain positive relationships with players, noting that journalists should not profit from jokes or negative narratives.

Looking ahead to the Nations League, Szoboszlai emphasized that other players must step up in the absence of key personnel to ensure the team performs well, specifically ahead of the upcoming home match against Ukraine at the Puskás Aréna.
