Dominik Szoboszlai identified as potential future Liverpool captain

Liverpool FC faces critical decisions regarding its long-term leadership and squad stability. Former striker Emile Heskey has identified Dominik Szoboszlai as a potential future captain for the club, suggesting that retaining the Hungarian midfielder should be a priority for the organization.

This discussion comes amid uncertainty surrounding Virgil van Dijk, whose current contract expires next year. Heskey noted that interest from Real Madrid could complicate Van Dijk's future, emphasizing that the club must address the defender's contract situation promptly to avoid losing a key asset.

Additionally, Liverpool goalkeeper Ármin Pécsi, currently on loan at Hartberg, has spoken about his friendship with Szoboszlai. Pécsi credited the midfielder with assisting his integration into the club, noting that Szoboszlai provided support with both professional and everyday matters during his time at Anfield.
