Liverpool faces Manchester City without Szoboszlai, Isak, and Gakpo
Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has confirmed several key absences ahead of the Premier League match against Manchester City. Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is ruled out due to a hamstring injury sustained during international duty with Hungary.
In addition to Szoboszlai, Liverpool will be without attackers Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo. Isak is dealing with a thigh muscle injury, while Gakpo is sidelined with an ankle injury following a challenge during the international break. Iraola noted that while the injuries do not appear to be long-term, the players are not yet ready for selection.
The squad depth will be tested as the team faces the league leaders, with players like Lewis Koumas expected to feature in the lineup.
