Dominique Frot, French actress, dies at 68

French actress Dominique Frot has passed away at the age of 68 following an illness. Her death occurred on Friday, August 7, at the Tenon Hospital in Paris, as confirmed by her family and agent.

Frot, the younger sister of renowned actress Catherine Frot, had a prolific career spanning over four decades in theater, television, and cinema. She was widely recognized by the public for her role as the school principal, Solange Vergneaux, in the popular comedy series "Soda."

In film, her notable works include appearances in "Titane," which won the Palme d'Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, as well as "La Cérémonie" and "Peut-être." Following her passing, colleagues such as Isabelle Adjani and Kev Adams shared tributes. One of her final projects, the film "Karma" directed by Guillaume Canet, is scheduled for release on October 21.
