Domino's to launch individual-sized Detroit-style pizza
Domino's is launching a new individual-sized product called ‘the Domino’, a Detroit-style pizza designed for solo diners, snacking, and portability. The product is scheduled for a nationwide rollout in the United States starting August 31.
Shaped like the company's logo and cut into two slices, the pizza features a buttery pan dough encrusted with parmesan cheese. It includes two layers of cheese, a choice of sauce, up to three toppings, and a signature garlic seasoning drizzle.
Joe Jordan, Chief Operating Officer and President of Domino's U.S., stated that the product fills a gap in the company's portfolio by allowing for greater customization when traditional large pizzas do not meet individual preferences. The company noted that independent testing resulted in high consumer satisfaction ratings.
The new item will be available through the brand's ‘Mix and Match Deal’, allowing customers to select two or more menu items, including a two-topping Domino, for $6.99 each.
