Dommartin-sous-Amance: 16-month-old girl drowns in family pool
A 16-month-old girl has died after drowning in a family swimming pool in Dommartin-sous-Amance, located in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department of France.
The incident occurred on a Thursday afternoon. According to reports, the child was in the water for approximately forty-five minutes before being discovered. Despite resuscitation efforts by firefighters and medical services (Smur), the child could not be saved.
The village mayor, Dominique Mathey, noted that the family possessed a rigid swimming pool measuring one meter in height. Because the child was not yet walking, authorities are investigating how she was able to access the pool. An official investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
