Domănești Greek Catholic Parish celebrates 125 years of church history

The Greek Catholic Parish of Domănești celebrated a dual milestone on August 9, 2026, marking 125 years since the construction of its church and 30 years of pastoral service by Father Gheorghe Dumitru Pop.

The Holy Liturgy was presided over by Virgil Bercea, the Greek Catholic Bishop of Oradea. The event brought together local clergy, parishioners, and community leaders, including the mayor of Moftin, Gheorghe David. During the service, Bishop Bercea emphasized the importance of prayer, fasting, and the strength of the local community in maintaining their faith through generations.
