Domodossola man arrested for threatening mother with knife

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in Domodossola for domestic abuse and death threats against his mother. Carabinieri officers intervened on the morning of Thursday, October 1, after the woman called emergency services reporting that she had just been threatened with death.

Upon arrival, authorities found the woman in a state of severe shock, requiring medical assistance from emergency personnel. Investigations revealed a long-standing pattern of harassment, including heavy insults and threats made with a knife. The motive for the abuse was to extort money from his mother to purchase alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes.

Law enforcement noted that the situation was already known to them, as similar incidents involving knife threats had been reported in the past. Following the investigation, the judicial authority ordered the man's arrest, and he was transported to the prison in Verbania.
